Draw & Write: Fill in the Blank – Everyday 12

This free printable draw-and-write worksheet helps Pre-K and kindergarten children connect a familiar vocabulary word with their own illustration. Children begin by following the prompt to draw a baby, deciding how they want to represent the person in their picture. They then complete “I see a ___.” by writing the word that names what they drew.

Creating the picture before completing the sentence gives children a visual reminder of the word they need to recall and write. The supported sentence frame keeps the writing task approachable while providing practice with vocabulary, early spelling, handwriting, and reading a complete sentence. This free preschool and kindergarten worksheet is suitable for homeschool, beginning writing practice, or an easy literacy activity at home.
