Draw & Write: Fill in the Blank – Everyday 15

This free printable draw-and-write worksheet gives Pre-K and kindergarten children more freedom to choose their own vocabulary word. The prompt asks them to draw a toy, but which toy they draw is entirely up to them. After creating their picture, children complete “I like my ___.” with a word that specifically names the toy they chose, such as a doll, truck, train, or another favorite.

Because the answer is not provided directly in the drawing prompt, children practice generating a word from their own idea before writing it in the sentence. The activity combines creative choice with vocabulary recall, early spelling, handwriting, and sentence completion while keeping the overall writing demand approachable for beginners. This free preschool and kindergarten worksheet can be used for homeschool, early writing practice, or literacy activities at home.
