Build the Sentence: 5 Words – Everyday 19

This free printable sentence building worksheet gives kindergarten and first grade kids practice arranging five scrambled words into a complete sentence. Kids put the words “I,” “tower,” “tall,” “build,” and “a” in the correct order to make “I build a tall tower,” then write the finished sentence on the blank writing line. Afterward, they can draw their own tall tower in the large drawing box.

Five-word sentence scrambles help beginning readers practice word order, sentence structure, reading, and writing while working with short, familiar sentences. This page adds the describing word “tall,” giving kids practice figuring out where an adjective belongs and how it changes the meaning of a sentence. The open drawing space also lets kids imagine what kind of tower they want to build. This no-cut printable is easy to use for homeschool, kindergarten or first grade practice at home, summer learning, or extra sentence building and writing practice.
