Draw My Day: Fill in the Blank 04

This free printable daily writing worksheet helps pre-K, kindergarten, and beginning writers reflect on someone who was part of their day. Children add the date, draw someone they were with today, and then complete the sentence “Today I was with…” by writing the person’s name or relationship to them. They might choose a family member, friend, teacher, classmate, neighbor, or anyone else they spent time with.

The personal prompt gives children a familiar subject for early writing while the sentence starter provides enough structure to keep the activity approachable. Along with practicing drawing, vocabulary, handwriting, and sentence completion, children can use the page to record the people who are part of their everyday experiences. Use this free kindergarten draw-and-write worksheet for daily journaling, homeschool, morning work, personal reflection, or building a dated picture journal over time.
