Build the Sentence: 5 Words – Everyday 10

This free printable sentence building worksheet gives kindergarten and first grade kids practice arranging five scrambled words into a complete sentence. Kids put the words “clean,” “we,” “our,” “toys,” and “up” in the correct order to make “We clean up our toys,” then write the completed sentence on the blank writing line. Afterward, they can draw a picture of toys being put away or create their own cleanup scene in the large drawing box.

Five-word sentence scrambles help beginning readers practice word order, reading, and simple sentence structure while working with familiar everyday language. This page adds a little extra challenge because “clean up” works together as an action phrase, so kids need to think about how the words belong together rather than arranging them one at a time. The no-cut format makes it easy to use for homeschool, kindergarten or first grade practice at home, summer learning, or extra sentence building and writing practice.
