Build the Sentence: 3 Words – Everyday 08

This free printable sentence building worksheet gives preschool and early kindergarten kids simple practice putting three words in the correct order. Kids look at the words “The,” “drives,” and “dad,” then point to each word in order and say “The dad drives” aloud. The capital letter gives beginning readers a helpful clue about which word starts the sentence. Afterward, kids can draw the dad driving and imagine where he might be going in the large picture box.

This beginner sentence activity helps young children practice word order, simple sentence structure, early reading, and oral language without requiring handwriting. Pointing to each word while saying the sentence aloud gives preschool and early kindergarten learners an easy way to practice how words fit together to make a sentence. The open-ended drawing space also lets kids add their own ideas and show what they think is happening. This no-cut printable works well for preschool, Pre-K, early kindergarten, homeschool, or beginning reading practice at home.
